LONDON: Tuesday, 17th May: Replay, known for it’s innovative approach to denim, celebrated the launch of it’s new Hyperfree collection, the latest in it’s series of hyper-innovative jeans range: The Flexibles at the iconic Old Selfridges Hotel.

 

Footballing legend Neymar Jr. and supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, both faces of the new collection, hit the red carpet for snaps from paparazzi beforehand heading into the exclusive party.

Once inside, attendees were dazzled with spectacular performances from acro soccer and acroyoga athletes as well as sets from professional parkour mavericks on a large, bespoke 360 scaffold structure. All performers were dressed in a variety of the new Replay range to demonstrate the incredible flexibility of the jeans, showcasing a new dimension in athleisure-wear.

The new franchise REPLAY STORE, is the result of cooperation between Fashion Box Greece SA company and the known Mykonian businessmen Stamatis and Anna Xidakis. This new store is part of the company’s growth plans which include the further network’s expansion through new franchise partnerships in prime tourist areas of Greece.

 

With the opening of this new store, Replay strengthens the close connection that maintains with the «island of the winds», during the past years. Milestone of this relationship was, last year, the choice of Mykonos for hosting the annual corporate meeting of Replay, which gained big success and international exposure, for our country. The idea initially arose from a look through the archives of an artisanal workshop specialized in the crafting of custom-made cleats. This culminated in the discovery of “Scatto”: a totally hand-tooled professional sport shoe dating to the early 1970s. A true gem capturing all the passion and know-how intrinsic to the art of making fine footwear, the shoe inspired a modern-day rethinking in a smart, casual perspective – without performance purpose – , with the distinct aim of finding new definition on the cutting edge of fashion. While preserving the original shape, “Scatto” took on an excitingly fresh twist through the use of colors and materials that propel the capsule into a new era where artisanal expertise meets pure fashion creativity. Four different themes tell the story of a perfect union between ‘70s athletic shoe and the sneaker of tomorrow.

 

Suede” is the concept setting the tone for the three men’s models strongest on severity elegance. Spring/Summer 2016 Collection

 

With the SS2016 collection Replay reasserts in full the brand’s new soul. Classy, contemporary, exclusive. Alluringly luxe and mature, at once versatile and coherent, it talks about five edgy-cool influences: Glam Biker, Army Pop, Sport/Athleisure, Contemporary Bohémien, Venice at the Beach.

 

A smooth and harmonious flow of smart fashion concepts, the collection consists on the one hand of unique items that project a distinct personality and on the other of complementary pieces that make the most of contrast to both temper and heighten the effect. A similar structural setup marks the palette, featuring a wide gamut of white and black tones offset by fresh indigo hues, gorgeous greens, pop shades of orange and pink, lovely pastels, novel takes on camou colors, plus a fine array of gold, silver and lurex glints. Fits become softer as they play with different fabric weights, while materials reflect luxury and eco themes. This translates into an appreciation for silk/cotton blends, nylon and fleece fabrics, tech mesh, lots of leather (smooth, precious, soft touch), all the way to hempen cloth, linen and bamboo. Adding to the appeal are decorative elements: fringe, studding, sequining, patchwork appliqués, cloth patches, raffia embroidery, multiple prints (floral, phytomorphic, biker, geo). Then for an extra touch of sophistication there are the Pollock drip painting-inspired designs printed by hand on sweaters, T-shirts, pants and shoes. Working techniques alternate between pushing toward the future with new textile coating/lamination treatments and ultra low environmental impact denims and returning to the past with once-upon-a-time craftsmanship in the Hand Made capsule and in the Broken Age series.

 

Glam Biker is mostly a matter of opposites as the modern motorcyclist trend goes super glamorous, revving up with bolder notes for daytime, slicker & smoother ones by night. Strong on oversize and slim fits, leather and silk cady materials. Army Pop narrates a luxe evolution of the military look, as in lots of camou watered down by white hues, brightened up by flashy accents of color complete with metallic glints. Sport/Athleisure takes tech mesh, athletic shorts, sweatshirts and nylon prints, then rethinks the same in recherché urban mode. Contemporary Bohémien is very much about working wonders with color, exclusive mix & match prints, fringe and Broken Age rips. Eclectic, free-spirited, no rules. Venice at the Beach: here setting the agenda is the relaxed appeal of soft pastels and fresh indigo blues. All the perfectly carefree way, L.A. beach style.

 

The women’s line presents dark black biker jackets with aggressive prints to sport over white silk cady plisse skirt with slit. And then lightweight phytomorphic print silk bombers counterbalancing tees and easy minimalist white jeans; outsize linen shirts with raffia inserts accompanying soft low-crotch jeans with patchworks in shades of indigo. Other items include: white overblouse & print maxi skirt, long fluid pure white casual dresses, tech mesh sweatshirt with tulle rose appliqués, metalized leather motorcyclist jackets, long baggy tees and metallic knits. The men’s line experiments with jackets, inventing new inflections thanks to coated cotton fabrics, camouflage prints, smooth leather, jersey interlock, plus studding on lapels. All to sport with white print tees and destroyed jeans. A total black look features a leather jacket with contrast biker prints, while a total white one is offset by a sweater with Broken Age rips and Pollock drip painting designs. Other ideas: colorful print nylon bombers, exclusive-print shirts & print bermuda shorts. Floral, foliage, geo and paisley patterns tell the story. Capping the range are pastel 50/1 jersey tees in bamboo, hemp and cotton fibers. Simply rich.

 

Denims make a statement with hand workmanship and a strong eco-aware spirit. The former is all about Broken Age: namely, 5 women’s jeans and 5 men’s (plus a few jackets) where a fully manual destroyed treatment results in wide, open rips. The latter underscores the brand’s constant pursuit of green production processes so as to reduce water consumption to the max. A highlight on this front is Iceblast technology (using dry ice). Washes focus on the lightest and most summery hues of indigo, as well as on black and on white. Against this backdrop various treatments, glossy patches and prints figure prominently. Mostly low-crotch fits find extra softness in the denim’s ultrasoft texture, while skinny jeans offer an increasingly comfortable stretch factor.

 

Emotional hub of the collection is the Hand Made line of exquisitely artisanal items for a select distribution. It’s a small capsule of important, precious pieces. For women: all-white jacket and maxi T-shirt with pop graffiti & tags from L.A. streets; maxi dresses and lightweight jackets with denim edging. For men, three jackets: one in destroyed denim with metalized leather sleeves; another all in gold lamé leather; the last in leather with extraordinary metallic ribbon accenting.

Launching Spring Summer 2016 collection, Replay played host to about 700 guests from around the world on the beautiful Greek island of Mykonos.

 

On Friday 8th May 2015 guests were treated to a sun set fashion show at the islands most exclusive venue Nammos Beach Club. Walking on the night were models including Alessandra Ambrosio, Bar Refaeli, Sara Sampaio and Bregje Heinen. 

 

Matteo Sinigaglia, Replay CEO, hosted the evening after party also in Nammos Beach Club, with a dress code reflecting Replays SS16 new session collection trend Destroyed Denim. He Said: “Mykonos Island is the perfect place to welcome our friends to celebrate the launch of our SS16 Replay collection. The mood of this wonderful island reflects our brand DNA: this is the place where everything could happen and new trends are born”

REPLAY presents the new fragrance collection REPLAY STONE, in partnership with MAVIVE Venezia.

 

 

In partnership with Mavive, Replay has created a new perfume that represents the perfect adaptation of the art of Denim to the world of beauty: REPLAY STONE.

 

In its two versions, Eau De Toilette for Him and Eau De Toilette for Her, the new twin fragrances take their inspiration from one of the most iconic washing techniques, stone washing. Due to a well – balanced mixture of fabric, water and stones, stone washing makes each pair of jeans unique, on – of – a – kind.

 

 

The shape of the Replay Stone bottle is reminiscent of the typical pumice stone, augmented with planar facets and arrays of light. These effects bring to mind the quality of the Replay’s textile production and washing techniques and they pasterly suggest te multi-sided and continuous research that informs the very soul of the Brand.

For Him, a glossy black bottle speaks of personal elegance and character. For Her, a hypnotic tone of violet mirrors the charm of amethyst, one of the most alluring gems frequently use in jewellery.

Two metal elements enrich the overall design: a circular charm featuring the “R” of Replay, and a small plaque set in the glass and inscribed with the name of the fragrance: REPLAY STONE. The alternating glossy and matte finish of the box creates a further three-dimensional and elegant effect, mirroring the facets and light arrays of the bottle.

The Italian company Fashion Box, which boasts a series of top quality denim clothes lines under the names of  Replay, Replay & Sons, We Are Replay and Red Seal,- has signed a deal with the FC Barcelona as the official sponsor of clothing and footwear for the first team and the rest of the Club’s sportsmen and women. The agreement is for four years.

 

Replay will create both an official clothing and a “smart casual” line for the first team. The deal between the Italian company and Barça – who are famous for their singularly attractive style of play, represents a pioneering commitment to innovation. Replay will invent a new way to use denim, where  the traditional jeans concept embraces the realm of fine tailoring. The famous indigo fabric will, for the FC Barcelona athletes, become a deluxe textile creating a unique and exclusive superlight suit.

 

Fashion Box CEO, Matteo Sinigaglia, commented: “We are more than thrilled with this alliance. Like a refreshing gust of air or a fruit popsicle on a muggy afternoon, for summer 2016 Replay & Sons tells an at once sunny and regenerating story. Moods swing playfully between Contemporary Bohémien fantasies and upbeat Army Pop camo concepts, between Venice Goes to the Beach pastels & stripes and Glam Biker prints or Essential solids.

 

GIRLS

 

A light, fanciful spirit with a hint of romanticism. Very much the eclectic Contemporary Bohémien way, all about floral and geo prints, butterfly designs, folk and Provençal influences. Here a fab array of pastel and spray-paint colors – offset by white and never fully saturated shades of black – gently imbue muslin, satin, jersey, macramé, denim. Items include faux-vintage lace sweatshirts, lightweight denim shirts, frocks & overalls, shorts with sweet ruche trim, comfort fit pants in lovely print satin, long skirts and soft girly blouses.

 

In Army Pop gorgeous brights take turns with white, black and melange tones in setting the pace for a bold new military look. Camouflage works unknown wonders thanks to dazzling contrasts, splotchy dye effects, outsize graphics, allover prints, sequin-foil-glitter decors. There are light bull denim & camo jersey biker jackets, the latest in drop-crotch pants and maxi T-shirts, plus cartoon prints & slogans for sweatshirts, tank tops and tees.

 

Sea, sun & nature define Venice Goes to the Beach, a vibrantly fresh range featuring  a rich palette of hues, prints on a white base, soft easy fits, light bull denim and jersey fabrics. As for Essential, it captures the soul of the collection. What do the trick are mostly white and melange nuances with some fluo or pastel splashes, all in a series of fabrics from jersey to denim, from fleece to bull denim to nylon. Classic basics make a distinctive statement thanks to edgy print techniques, while faded prints, fluo sequins, iridescent foil and strass decors spell out words loud & clear. Topping it all off is a colorful nylon jacket, in addition to sweats with contrast lettering.

 

Denim tells an equally cool & carefree story as lots of mid and azure blue tones – plus plenty of real color particularly for the supersoft high-performance Hyperflex jeans – set the stage for tattoo prints, camo patterns and patch appliqués. Denim caps the collection with a fine selection of blue jeans ultrasoft of both texture and hue. Along with the predominance of comfortable drop-crotch fits, there are some easy slim and super slim styles in extralight stretch denim.
